Joyce Paulette Ellenberg, of Cordova, TN, went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2020. She was a retired lab technician in which she had her 'claim to fame' by not ever missing a vein in 35 years on the job. Joyce engaged in many hobbies throughout her life, some self taught and some instructor led such as painting in the kitchen for countless hours watching Bob Ross on PBS and following his every stroke. She loved singing in the choir and harmonizing with her best friends in the alto and first soprano sections; she loved bowling on a league with her husband and cooking delicious homemade chocolate pies. Joyce was a self-taught scrapbooker, card maker, Facebook queen and faithful prayer warrior. She was a mom to many furbabies that became like children to her. She was an avid Bible reader and worshiper of the One True King. She absolutely loved her family and was always taking pictures to capture memories. She was known by the grandchildren as ‘Grandmother’ or just ‘Gram’ and cherished each of them with all of her heart. She was a member of Bartlett Baptist Church and loved her Connect Group 'The Gathering.'
Mrs. Ellenberg was preceded in death by her parents; Boyd E. and Rachel Guin. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Charles Eddie Ellenberg; her daughters, Misty Dawn Barber and her husband ConLee; Amber Nicole Schaedle and her husband Dennis; three grandchildren: Joshua Drake Gingery and his wife Marytere, Lauren Schaedle Bravos and her husband Nick, Jessica Schaedle Newsome and her husband Gavin, one great granddaughter, Patience Joyce Newsome and one sister, Carolyn Virginia Patten.
She will be missed but not forgotten and we know that she is with her Lord and Savior worshipping in His presence.
The family will receive friends from 10am followed by a Celebration of Joyce's life at 11am, on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at Bartlett Baptist Church, 3465 Kirby Whitten Pkwy, Bartlett, TN 38135.
