Juanita and her twin sister, Wanda were born at home in Gary, Indiana on November 16, 1935. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Clarissa Miller; her sister, Wanda Miller, her brother, Kenneth Miller of Lake Station, IN; and her sister, Jean Foust of Lake City, TN.
Juanita is survived by her sister, Dorothy Chester of Carlsbad, NM; her 5 children; Wanda (Dave) Sirmans of Eads, TN; Tom Adamson of Coventry, RI; Laura (Greg) Scott of Miami, FL; Alan Adamson of Miami, FL; and Dale (Karen) Adamson of Miami, FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Julie (Andy) Clyce, Danielle (Brian) Frickey, Katie (Sam) Swanson, Tracy (Brian) Rowell, DJ Adamson, Ali Adamson, Sean Adamson, AJ Adamson, Katelyn Adamson, Jennifer Adamson; and great-grandchildren: Parker Clyce, Brandon Frickey, Hudson Rowell, Dylan Frickey.
Juanita was a lover of the Smokey Mountains. She was an active member of Faith Baptist Church in Bartlett, TN and the Friendship Class. She enjoyed playing outside games with her siblings and children, especially “Kick the Can.” She always enjoyed bowling and even played on multiple teams, traveled to tournaments, and was a member of the 600 Club. She loved country music and could be found at multiple family events cutting a rug. She loved to collect thimbles, bells, coins, and the ever so popular beanie babies. She was always an avid reader and a card game lover.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials for Juanita Adamson can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN; Faith Baptist Church, Bartlett, TN; or a charity of your choice.
