She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Charles Asher Frith, parents, Charles and Mattie King; her siblings, Charles Eubia King, Margaret Estelle Vickery; and Glenn Edward King.
She is survived by her sons, Darryl Frith (Lisa) of Morristown, TN, Art Frith (Teresa) of Nashville, MI; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
Julia joined the Millington Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #385 December 28, 1976, served as Worthy Matron in 1980, and was appointed Grand Martha in the Grand Chapter of the State of Tennessee in 1982. Julia served with distinction as Queen of Zia Temple, Daughters of the Nile #148 in 1983.
In 1987, Julia was crowned Queen Tiaa XLII, the Grand Krew of Sphynx, making her Queen of Memphis Carnival that year, truly a highlight of her social life.
Julia enjoyed traveling with her long-time companion Bob Raspberry, especially Fleet Week and numerous reunions. Without exception, Julia was loved by all and will be missed by everyone.
