Julius L. “Butch” Melton, Jr., 64, of Somerville, passed away in Memphis on Thursday, May 9, 2013. Mr. Melton, the husband of Janice Brown Melton for 44 years, is also survived by two sons, Scott Melton of Memphis and Justin Melton of Somerville; two sisters, Renee Manner of Olive Branch and Linda Smith of Broken Arrow, OK; his mother, Mary Melton of Memphis and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends this evening, Friday May 10 from 5-7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 11 at 12 noon at the funeral home with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens.
