A 1961 graduate of Memphis Technical High School, June distinguished herself as Editor-in-Chief of The Review, her senior yearbook. Her vibrant personality and grace earned her recognition as a Senior Beauty and the honor of being voted Best Dressed by her classmates.
While these accomplishments reflected her talents, June's greatest joy and proudest achievement was her family. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to raising her children, creating a home filled with love, laughter, comfort, and unwavering support. She was the kind of mother and grandmother who never hesitated to put the needs of others before her own, making countless sacrifices to ensure her family was taken care of.
June had a passion for cooking and baking, and her kitchen was the heart of her home. Whether preparing a family meal, baking a favorite dessert, or gathering loved ones around her table, she expressed her love through food and hospitality. The memories made in her kitchen will be treasured for generations.
After many years as a homemaker, June worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses. In retirement, she combined her creativity, talents, and entrepreneurial spirit by operating her own interior decorating business, specializing in custom window treatments.
Those who knew June will remember her for her kindness and remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome. She had a rare gift for making people feel seen, heard, and cared for. Whether meeting someone for the first time or reconnecting with an old friend, June had a way of turning strangers into friends and making everyone feel like family.
