J.V. Johnson

He was born to the late Jesse and Melvinia Johnson on February 6, 1941 In Booneville, Mississippi. Along with his parents, his brothers, Ray and Roy Johnson, preceded him in death.

Jay is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Brenda Johnson; his children, Melanie Smalley (Mike), Michael Johnson (Victoria), Joey Johnson; grandchildren, Mitchell Smalley, Morgan Bell (Ryan), Maisen Arner (Chauncey), Blake Johnson, Hannah Johnson, Paige Johnson, Shayla Johnson, Jennifer Davis (Jamison); great-grandchildren, Dallas, Dottie, and Demi Bell and Crue Arner, Kendall and Addison Davis, Gunner and Logan Pate; nephews, Mark, Stuart, and Jerry Johnson; his niece, Lana Devaughn; and his sister in law, Ravenelle Johnson.

Family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Friday, June 9 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. Services will follow at 2:00pm.
