Keesha Michelle Furniss

Keesha was born in Charlotte, NC in 1983 to her parents, Bob and Susan (Bennett) Furniss, currently of Bartlett, TN. Throughout her fight with cancer, she was known world-wide as the #WarriorPrincess. She graduated from Evangelical Christian School, where she was active in marching band. She continued her love for music by marching in the Mighty Sound of the South – while graduating from the University of Memphis. She had a deep love for kids and was a teacher, most recently at Trafalgar Village Daycare.

As a Younique Presenter she grew her business, attaining Pink Status, even while fighting cancer. She loved this role and was proud of her many “Y-Sisters” around the world. She often traveled to Honduras, working with a children’s ministry, Point of Impact, and sponsored several children. She had a passion for photography, loved country music and was a huge fan of Luke Bryan. She also loved her Pittsburgh Steelers. But she was truly defined by her love of family and her faith. She attended Fellowship Memphis.

In addition to her parents, Keesha is survived by her brother, Kevin Furniss and sister-in-law Kaitlyn (Curlin) Furniss – and the light of her life, her nephew Benjamin. She is also survived by her grandfather, Jim Furniss and his wife, Judy Furniss and her maternal grandmother Beverly Bennett. She was also survived by Bill Peters, her step-grandfather and his wife Wanda Peters. She had a special relationship with her aunt and uncle, Tim and Sharon (Furniss) Harrison. She was also close with many other aunts, uncles and cousins and was “Aunt Keesha” to a multitude of cousins.

Keesha is now dancing in Heaven with her Nana, Helen (Tribble) Peters and many other family and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, December 2 at 1:00 pm at Harvest Church, 3645 Forest Hill-Irene Rd. Germantown, TN 38138
