

Rev. Keith Wilson, 87, of Memphis, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ludie Featherston Wilson, two sons, Philip and Mark, and their spouses Sandy and Cindy, four grandchildren, Brandon (Wendy), Lendy (Ryan), Caroline and Jordan, a great-granddaughter Roxie, a sister, Linda (Sam), and a brother Don (Sherry). Rev. Wilson was born in Carlisle County, Kentucky to Neely and Thelma Wilson (both previously deceased). He graduated from Bardwell High School (KY.) and from Union University, Jackson, TN. He was ordained to the gospel ministry by his home church, Mississippi Baptist Church, Bardwell, KY. in November, 1948. He served as pastor at Center Baptist Church, Humboldt, TN; Southland Baptist Church, Memphis, TN.; First Baptist Church, Grand Junction, TN.; and First Baptist Church, Nesbit, MS. He also served as director for Brotherhood and Youth, Shelby Baptist Association (now MidSouth Baptist Association) and a director for the Baptist Children’s Home, Memphis, TN. He was active in the Tennessee Baptist Convention, serving on the Executive Committee, and as second vice president of the Convention in 1973. While pastoring in Nesbit, he served on the Executive Committee of the Mississippi Baptist Convention. Rev. Wilson faithfully served his Lord throughout his life and ministry. He always expressed his gratitude to God for the opportunities he had to serve and for the many friends God sent his way throughout his life. Memorial may be sent to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions, International Mission Board, P.O. Box 6767, Richmond, VA. 2323. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 20, from 9:30am-12pm at Memphis Funeral home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. The funeral will start at 12pm.
