Kenneth William “Ken” Swain, 60, of Arlington, TN, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at his home. He was a graduate of Arkansas State University, retired from FedEx, played USTA Competitive Tennis, enjoyed softball and was a very active parent with his daughter’s volleyball team. Mr. Swain, the husband of Sheila Smith Swain, also leaves a daughter, Jessica Swain and a sister, Carol Swain (Steve) Lewis of Poplar Bluff, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald “Doc” and Irene Swain. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 29 from 5-8 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. A celebration of Ken’s life will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m., Friday, May 30. Interment will precede the service at 11:30 a.m. in Memorial Gardens. Memorial gifts may be made to either Jason Motte Foundation “Strike Out Cancer”, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital or The Wings Foundation at the West Clinic.
