Ken L. Collins, 79, of Lakeland, Tennessee passed away on November 3, 2016. Mr. Collins was retired from the U.S. Navy after 28 years of service. He also worked for FedEx for 12 years following his service in the Navy. He was an avid fisherman and golfer. Mr. Collins was well loved and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Mr. Collins is survived by his wife of sixty years, Barbara Brown Collins; his sons, Steve Collins (Vicki) and Dale Collins (Marianne); his grandchildren, Kimberly Wharton, Maria Wyatt (Kenneth), Kelly Miller (David), Megan Collins, and Josh Collins (Jenna); and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 8 from 9:00 until the time of the funeral service at 10:00am at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Road, Bartlett, Tennessee. Internment will follow later at West Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery.
