

Kenneth R. Long, 82, of Cordova, Tennessee passed away on November 12, 2016. Mr. Long is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 60 years, Bettye Pullig Long; his two loving sons, Scott Long (Stephanie), Kip Long (Allison); his adored grandchildren, Hannah Posey (Michael), Jennifer Long, Kaycee Long, and Piper Long; three great-grandchildren whom he cherished, Bailey, Jada, and Hayden; and his dear nieces, Linda Lunger and Jan Criswell.
Ken retired from Ford Motor Company after more than 30 years to enjoy traveling with his wife, being a grandfather, serving as an elder in the Brownsville Road church of Christ and the Sycamore a view church of Christ, helping to lead mission trips, playing golf and keeping an immaculate lawn which earned him "yard of the month." He loved everything about his home state of Texas including the Cowboys, Tex-Mex food, and old westerns. He loved his family, singing, making people laugh and most importantly, sharing his love of Jesus with others.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 17 at Sycamore View Church of Christ, 1910 Sycamore View Road, Memphis, Tennessee from five until seven o'clock. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 18 at the same location at eleven o'clock with interment following at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Road, Bartlett, Tennessee.
