Kenneth Ross Pryor, 88, died at his home in Memphis on Monday, October 22, 2018 after a brief illness. He was born in Saltillo, TN, the son of Ed and Essie Kelly Pryor. Kenneth proudly served his country during the Korean War as a member of the United States Marine Corp. He retired from Largent Contracting where he worked as a heavy equipment operator.
Kenneth was a long time member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church where he leaves many friends and cherished memories. He was a member of the Disciples Sunday School Class and the church's weekly bible study class.
Kenneth leaves his loving wife of 62 years, Joceil Maness Pryor, two daughters, Pamela Raffles (Andy) of Brighton, TN, Renee Clark (Bill) of Olive Branch, MS and a son, Keith Pryor (Shannon) of Olive Branch, MS. He leaves four grandchildren, Christy Parkey, Jerry Parkey, Ryne Clark and Tucker Pryor and two great-grandsons, Cody Yarbrough and Ethan Stewart. He also leaves three sisters, Pauline Garrard, Francis Bailey and Liz Sandidge. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
A visitation will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road Wednesday, October 24 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 25 at St. Stephen United Methodist at 1 p.m, with visitation an hour prior.
