

Kevin was a devoted son, a loving husband, a proud father and stepfather, a cherished grandfather, a supportive brother and uncle, and a loyal friend. He lived his life with deep faith, unconditional love, and a strong commitment to his family.
He dedicated his career to AT&T, where he worked as a facility technician until his retirement. Kevin was known for his strong work ethic, skill, and reliability, and he took pride in the relationships he built with his coworkers over the years.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Harwell; his daughters, Shelby Milligan (Bradley) and Katie Jewell (Robby); his stepdaughters, April Sexton (Jeff) and Mandy Holmes (Jeremy); and his stepson, Jason Thomas (Christie). He was the proud grandfather of nine grandchildren: Levi, Luke, Hayes, Beckham, Hunter, Knox, Layne, Allie, and Logan.
He also leaves behind his mother, Dianne Harwell Snyder (Tom); his sister, Melissa Harwell; his stepmother, Shirley Harwell; his stepsister, Leanne Edwards (Joey); his mother-in-law, Opal Montgomery; his niece, Madeline O’Bryant; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Dean Harwell.
Those who knew Kevin will remember his strength, kindness, and generosity. He brought joy and comfort to those around him, and his laughter, wisdom, and warmth will never be forgotten.
Kevin’s legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever carry the love he shared and the lessons he taught.
Visitation for Kevin will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home, 3700 Germantown Parkway. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m., with burial to follow in the adjacent Memory Hill Gardens. A reception will then follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Brain Tumor Society, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, West Cancer and Palliative Care, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Kevin’s honor.
