He was a police officer with Memphis Police Department for 25 years. He began his career at the West Precinct on Union Avenue. As a patrolman he was a CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) officer and a FTO (Field Training Officer). As a Sergeant, he worked in Economic Crimes and Internal Affairs. Asa Lieutenant, he worked in K9, the PST program, Crump Station, Ridgeway Station, and Crime Scene.
Lee was preceded in death his mother, Linda Letner Rice. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca;his two daughters, Alexandria and Anna Grace; his father and stepmom, Jerry and Peggy Raburn; his stepdad, Steve Rice; his brother, Chris Rice; his three sisters, Beth Roach, Jennifer Griffin, and Kimberly Moore; and five nephews and eight nieces.
A gathering of family and friends for Lee will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A celebration of life service will occur Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM, Harmony Church of Bartlett, 6740 St Elmo, Bartlett, TN 38135. A committal service will occur Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11:15 AM, Memphis Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
