Lillian Maxwell Newport

Trusting in the finished work of her Lord and Savior, Lillian Maxwell Newport, 94 of Cordova, TN, formerly of McMinnville and Nashville, died on Saturday, August 18, 2018. She was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church-Nashville, TN where she participated in several church and community activities. For the last six years she lived with her loving daughter Amy Shipman where she was able to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers from Middle Tennessee. Mrs. Newport is survived by her daughter, Amy Shipman (Larry); grandchildren, Ethan Argo (Eva), Seth Argo (Lindsay), Sheryl Stockton (Winsor), Cory Shipman (Angie); great grandchildren, Jalen, Jake, Ava, Carter, Davis, Issy, Oscar, Wilson, Maddie Kate, Millie and Will. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 20, 2018 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to Meals on Wheels or to Bellevue Baptist Church-Cordova, TN.
