Linda Anderson Hanks

Linda Lou Anderson Hanks of Bartlett, Tennessee was born January 30th, 1939 in Burlison, TN to parents Franklin Uzell and Lois Anderson. She died on April 17th, 2026 at the age of 87 after a prolonged illness.

Linda graduated from Byars-Hall High School with honors and worked for many years as an executive administrator at First Tennessee Bank.

A longtime member of Range Hills Baptist Church. Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard Hanks and their dogs Troubles and Troubies. Her parents, Franklin Uzell and Lois Anderson, as well as her brother, Gerald Wayne Anderson.

Linda is survived by three nephews, Andy Hanks (Kathy), David Hanks and David Anderson (Anne); two nieces, Regina Smith (Roger) and Ann Michelle Anderson. In addition there are eleven grand nieces and nephews and a host of great/great grand nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday April 25th at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. Services will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be the same day at Memorial Park Cemetery at 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis, TN.

The family requests any financial donations in Linda's name be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
