Jody Cornmesser, 65, of Bartlett, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017. He was retired from TTX Company, was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and simply being in the woods at dawn. Jody also had the grand opportunity to hunt the Eastern Cape of South Africa, twice. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Bernice Chrzan Cornmesser; mother, Frances McClure of Greenville, SC; sister, Beth (Bobby) Dobson of Greenville, SC; and two brothers, Bobby (Betty) Cornmesser of Jacksonville Beach, FL and David (Vickie) Cornmesser of Gaffney, SC. He was preceded in death by his son, Edmond Shawn Cornmesser and his father, Lloyd G. Cornmesser. A celebration of Jody’s life will be Monday evening, January 30 from 6-9 at Memphis Funeral Home, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either St. Ann Building fund or St. Jude Children’s research Hospital Neuro oncology Dept.
