Lonnie "Sonny" Edwards

Lonnie F. Edwards, age 81, of Bartlett, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Lonnie was born January 19, 1940 to the late Lonnie and Buena Edwards. He was affectionally known as Sonny by his family. Lonnie retired from Teamsters Local 667, upon retirement he had 26 years of safe driving awards. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his sisters; Tommie Jean Ritter and Linda Huddleston.

He is survived by wife of 63 years, Joyce Edwards, his children; David Edwards (Dale), Don Edwards (Carrie), Danette Fish (Tim), and Damon Edwards (Ashley), his grandchildren; Donald Edwards (Amber), Caleb Fish (Anna), Dustin Edwards, Chase Fish, Cole Fish (Casey), Stone Edwards (Emily), Hayden Edwards, Hallie Edwards, his great grandchildren; David, Jonathon, Knox, Waylon and Robin, his siblings; Nancy Poole and Frank Edwards and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Lonnie will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A funeral service will be Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
