She was born on June 14, 1937, in Water Valley Mississippi to the late Curtis and Gertie Jane (Ray) Wells.
Being a woman of faith, she attended Faith Baptist Church when she was able. She enjoyed growing roses, genealogy, bible study and in her later years watching various television shows like Friends, Andy Griffith Show and Gameshow network. She had a strong love for all animals. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother to her family. She was proud to be military wife of 20 years in the United States Air Force. She was proud of the fact that she was a graduate of the class of 1955 from L.C. Humes High School and knew Elvis and the Memphis Mafia before they were cool.
She will be cremated and her and husband will have their ashes scattered by the family in Water Valley, Mississippi on family property, at a later date.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years Edward A. Brusseau, Sr. and her brother Noel Wesley Wells, Sr.
She is survived by her children.
Her son, Edward (Debra), grandson Chris (Rhiannon) Brown, granddaughter Amanda (Tony) Pendergrass and great granddaughters Caitlyn Brown, and Haylee Pendergrass.
Her son, Curtis (Melanie); grandson Tristan and Jared, granddaughter Courtney; and, great grandson Trent.
Her daughter; Michaell-Shelly and granddaughter Arianna, Bailey, and McKenzie and great granddaughter Paisley, and Olivia, and great grandson Karson.
She has five nieces and nephews Wesley, Carolyn Sue, Perry Dean, Linda, and Mary with several great nieces and nephews.
The memorial service for Mrs. Brusseau will take place Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Faith Baptist Church (3755 N Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN 38133) beginning at 2:00 PM.
