

Marina Drumwright Hardee, 56, of Bartlett, Tennessee won a six year battle with Multiple Systems Atrophy early Saturday morning, December 31, 2016, and we are confident she is now in the presence of her Lord!
She was born to Robert O’Neal and Georgia Drumwright on July 19, 1960 in National City, California. However, her childhood was divided between Memphis, Ripley and Jackson, TN. Marina was the loving wife of Phillip Hardee for thirty-nine years, devoted mother of Aaron Hardee, Michelle Gilmore and Autumn Freidel, and doting Nana to seven grandchildren: Julia Hardee, Aiden Gilmore, Davis Hardee, Hayes Gilmore, Summit Freidel, Lincoln Freidel and Hallie Gilmore.
Marina was devoted to God first, family second and church third. She served by teaching Sunday School for over 32 years, mostly to second graders. She also taught Vacation Bible School at her church, in the inner-city and foreign countries. Marina traveled to 10 countries teaching children and adults how to have a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. She had a tender heart for the elderly and anyone with special needs.
She is survived by her mother, husband, children, grandchildren, sisters; Sheila Chipman and Mitzi Warren, both of Jackson, TN, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Marina was previously deceased by her father and only brother; Gregory Drumwright.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 6 from five until eight o’clock in the evening at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Road, Bartlett, Tennessee. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 7 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Bellevue Baptist Church, Pollard Chapel, 2000 Appling Road, Memphis, Tennessee. Interment will follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in the Garden of the Good Shepherd.
