She was deeply devoted to her church and love of God and Jesus Christ. As a founding charter member of Kingsway Christian Church, she was a deacon, greeter and teacher. Over several decades, she helped with children’s church and taught Sunday school, spreading God’s word to dozens of children, at least five of whom became preachers. Loyal and giving of herself and her time, she volunteered for MIFA, Memphis Foodbank, and spent many winters ringing bells for the Salvation Army. Martha was a loving bride, gracious mother, proud grandmother, and bold Southern lady.
