Martha Elizabeth Neyman Kail, 81, of Oakland, TN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2018. Martha was born December 30, 1936 in Sheffield, AL. Martha retired with over 30 years’ service from Shelby County Schools serving as a teachers-aid for special needs children. She found great joy in assisting her students participate in Special Olympics each year.

The light of her life was her family --- every one of them. The love she showed was immense and never ending. She will forever be remembered as “Grannie” by her grandchildren, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband F. Roland Kail and her parents Edwin Daniel Neyman and Lucy Elizabeth Latimer Neyman.

Martha is survived by her children Christopher Roland Kail, Anne Elizabeth (Mike) Missett, Jeffery David Kail, Pamela Ann Myers Kail; her grandchildren Zachery (Katie) Kail, Daniel (Julia) Kail; her great grandchildren Julian Kail and Natalie Kail, brothers Edwin “Buddy” (Phyllis) Neyman, Joseph “Joe” (Linda), sister-in-law Sandra Neyman, niece Laura Neyman Kessinger, nephews Todd Neyman, David Neyman, Jody Neyman, and many great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday February 6th, from 12:00 to 1:00 and the funeral service will follow at Memphis Funeral Home 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN 38134. The burial service will be at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road, Memphis TN 38134.
