Martha Rowe Willis

Martha Kay Rowe Willis, 74, of Olive Branch, Mississippi passed away on October 25, 2021. The funeral service will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 29, 2021 with visitation from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Burial will follow the funeral at Memorial Gardens.

Martha was born in Memphis, Tennessee on February 8, 1947. She was a graduate of Memphis State University. Martha was actively involved at Crossroads Baptist Church, where she worked with preschool children.  Previously, she and her husband, Bill, taught children at Bellevue Baptist Church for more than forty years.

Martha is survived by sons Reed Willis and Lance Willis (Jessica); grandson Andrew Willis; sisters Helen Rodewald (Richard), Julia Verner, and Hilma Martin (James); brother in law John Lucus; and multiple cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Bill Willis; parents Sarah and Hillman Rowe; sister Nancy Lucus; and brother in law Von Verner.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Martha’s memory to Crossroads Baptist Church.
