Mary Kay Dotson LaRue, 76, of Memphis passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Methodist Hospice House. She was born August 27, 1938 in Kennett, Missouri to the late Russell and Helen Dotson. Mrs. LaRue attended Leawood Baptist Church where she volunteered in the benevolence ministry. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Louis LaRue; son, Jon “Kenny” and his wife, Dawn of Bartlett; her granddaughter, who was her heart, Reagan Horton and husband, Clayton of Bartlett; step-mother, Wanda Dotson of Kennett, MO; and step-sister, Regina Napier and husband, Ron of St. Louis, MO. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2015 and a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015 both at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett TN 38133. The family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or charity of donor’s choice.
