Mary Helen McCalla

Mary Helen Martindale McCalla, 81, passed away December 29, 2011. Mary retired from Schering-Plough after 32 years of service. Mary, along with her husband R.D. Martindale, was a founding member of Cordova Church of Christ. In later years, she attended Sycamore View Church of Christ and then Germantown Church of Christ. Mary was a loving wife, great mom, and devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by two loving husbands, Robert D. Martindale and Charles M. McCalla, and 7 siblings. She is survived by her daughter Linda K. Eddins (Tilman); grandson, Scott Eddins (Tracy); granddaughter, Angelia Johnson (Chris); three great-grandchildren, Seth Eddins, Aidan Johnson, and Cash Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on January 3, 2012 from 12 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road. Burial will follow at same location.
