Mary graduated from Dyess High School as Valedictorian in 1955, a distinction that reflected the steady diligence and commitment to excellence that would continue to mark her life.
For forty years, she worked as a Certified Executive Secretary, bringing to her career the kind of dependable, hard-working dedication that earned trust and respect over time.
Mary's devotion to family was clear in the life she built and the love she gave. She is survived by her daughter, Gale McGhee, and her husband, Eric; and her son, David D. Hines, and his wife, Tina; as well as a host of precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She took an active interest in civic life, founding the West Fayette Republican Club and serving as the chapter’s first President for two terms. She was also a member of the Hickory Withe Community Association. A true Republican, she loved politics and followed it with conviction and purpose.
Mary loved going to the lake spending time cooking and boating with family—time that brought her enjoyment and lasting memories.
