Mary Louise Taylor of Memphis TN, was called home to be with her heavenly family on November 28th, 2018, at the age of 88. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018. Visitation is from 9:30 to 10. Funeral Services from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN.
Louise was born on December 10th, 1929 in Memphis TN to Teresa Caroline Pavese and George Graham. Louise married Norris Richard Taylor on December 21st, 1946. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother George Graham of Chickasha OK, and her sister Ollie Mae McGarrh, of Dothan, Alabama.
Louise is survived by her daughters Linda Richards; Diane Jackson; Elaine Hines; Alisa Bonds (Rick); her sons Richard Taylor; Steve Taylor (Pam); and Tim Taylor. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kelley Andrews (John); Jonathan Richards (Chris); Shannon Foster (Tom); Chris Taylor (Brandi); Emily Vainer (Jeremy); Jacob Taylor (Natalie); Kelsey Kiepe (Andrew); Tristan Walker (Landon); Courtney Taylor; Macy Taylor; 10 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Louise worked for 23 years as a checker at A&P Food Stores. One of her proudest accomplishments was when she began her career with the Memphis Police Department in 1979. She bravely served as a police officer for 16 years until her retirement in 1995. Louise was a strong, independent, and caring woman who was always there to help her children and grandchildren when needed. She especially enjoyed Christmas with her family, where her competitive side came out during game time. Louise was an avid bowler for over 60 years and acquired many trophies for which she was very proud.
Louise, who was known as Mama, Mom, and Noni to her family, is deeply loved and will be missed by many. We take comfort in knowing that she is now resting peacefully in God’s arms.
