Matt was born January 5, 1968 in Alliance, Ohio to the late Hayes Phillip Hill and Phyllis Marlene Brownfield. He attended West Branch High School where he was a star linebacker on the football team. Matt graduated from the Police Academy at the University of Akron. He served in law enforcement in Ohio and Arkansas.
Matt was a life-long Green Bay Packers fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attempting to succeed at playing golf. Mostly, Matt treasured his family and friends. Matt is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Carrie Brownfield, his sons Brandon Brownfield (Kelsey) of Horn Lake, MS and Brennan Brownfield (Gina) of Walls, MS. He is survived by a granddaughter, Madison Peach Brownfield of Horn Lake, MS. Matt is also survived by his “bonus” daughters; Erin (Chase) Knowles of Lebanon, TN, Chelsea Nogas of Collierville, TN, and Morgan (Luke) Cranford of Munford, TN. He loved his extra grandchildren, Aiden Spooner, Parker and Caroline Knowles, Gabriel Curry, and Myles and Charlotte Cranford. Matt also leaves his sister, Andrea Eichelberger (Elvis), his niece Cierra and nephew Zackary Eichelberger of Memphis, TN, his uncle and aunt, Ronnie and Felicia Miller of Alliance, OH, cousins and too many special friends to list.
