Melvin Wayne Brooks, 69 of Memphis passed away April 13, 2014. Melvin was retired from Graceland where he worked as a security officer. He also worked as a mechanic for the railroad. Melvin is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Brooks; daughter, Linda Craig; sisters Lisa Lynette Williams, Reba Annella Cortez; brothers, Sammy David Pulley, James Howard Pulley, George Russell Leggett, Bobby Darryl Leggett, Marty Odell Leggett; granddaughter, Cayla Craig and Godson, Brandon Doyle. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 15 from 6-8 pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 16 at 1 pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN 38133.
