Methel Jean Britt, 88 , of Cordova, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband James H. Britt, Jr., son Glenn A. Britt, and siblings Marvin C. Carter and Vivian I. Delones. Mrs. Britt is survived by her children, James “Andy” Britt (Barbara) and Gary C. Britt (Teresa), grandchildren Bryan Britt, Rebekah Britt, Whitney Britt, Stephanie Britt, Natalie Amagliani (Louis), and David Britt (Katie), and a great-grandson Wesley Britt. Mrs. Britt was a longtime member at Bellevue Baptist Church. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, March 4 from 5-8pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. The funeral will be on Wednesday at 3pm also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Bellevue Baptist Church.
