Michael "Duck" Lee Call, age 66, of Lakeland, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021. Michael was born on November 23, 1954 in Memphis, TN, to the late Jerry D. and Diane Call. He was in the first graduating class of Raleigh Egypt High School in 1973, and after graduation, he attended the University of Memphis and the UT Martin. He was employed for Samelson Leon from 1978-1996, and in 1996 until present he joined the family of Trend Sales Inc. Michael was an avid sports fan, a youth league baseball coach, and golfer. He loved animals, music, cooking and was a travel enthusiast. Michael lived for his children, family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Michael Call. Mr. Call is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 45 years, Jean Sydnor Call, two children, Ashlee Call and Jake Call, one sister, Michelle Herbers and her husband Harry Herbers, and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 2pm until 5pm, on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700. N. Germantown Parkway Bartlett, TN 38133.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be sent to American Diabetes Association or to the American Cancer Society.
