Michael Jason Williams died on January 8th, 2022 in Memphis, TN at the age of 51. Jason is survived by his wife, Lisa Williams; daughter, Valerie Williams; father, Michael J. Williams (Faye), mother, Rebecca Williams; sister, Catherine Cole (Dave).
Jason was born in Memphis, TN. He attended Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, TN and graduated from Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis, MO. He and Lisa married in 1992. He served honorably for 5 years in the US Air Force and was a veteran of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He was assigned to Air Mobility Command at Scott Air Force Base and was also passionate about his service as a member of the Scott Air Force Base Honor Guard. After leaving the service and moving back to Bartlett, TN, Jason worked in the Information Technology field for 25 years at various companies in the Memphis area, most recently Baxter Healthcare. In 2001, Jason and Lisa welcomed their only daughter, Valerie, whom Jason adored. He spent many years supporting her in various academic and athletic endeavors. His wife and daughter will always remember how devoted he was as a husband and father. Valerie will miss their late-night debates, when he loved to give Valerie his thoughts on everything from world events to his theory on the best way to cook bacon. His storytelling was famous with family and friends, and you never knew when his quirky sense of humor would have everyone in stitches.
Visitation for Jason will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at St. Ann Catholic Church, 6529 Stage Road, Bartlett, TN 38134. Rosary to be offered beginning at 7:15 PM. A funeral mass will take place Friday, January 21, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, also as St. Ann Catholic Church, 6529 Stage Road, Bartlett, TN 38134. A committal service will follow mass on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jason’s life. Jason was a registered organ and tissue donor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mid-South Transplant Foundation at 8001 Centerview Parkway, Suite 302, Cordova, TN 38018.
