Miriam Obera Martin, 88, of Memphis, died Saturday, November, 10, 2012 at Foxbridge Assisted Living. Service will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 14; with burial to follow at a later date in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Though widowed after nearly 60 years of marriage to Howard Martin, she continued her ministry of teaching and caring for others that shaped her life, because of her faith in Jesus Christ. She taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and sang in the choir for over 30 years at Berclair Baptist Church. She raised two sons, Kenny (married to Carol Ann) and Randy (married to Carol Lynn) to honor her Savior, as well as six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
