Nancy L. Howarth, 82, of Olive Branch, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Born on August 13, 1943, in Brownsville, Tennessee, Nancy lived a full and remarkable life. She was the heart of her large, extended family and touched the hearts of everyone she met through her volunteer work with several organizations, including Northeast Mississippi Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her loving husband of 36 years, Donald Howarth; daughters, Chris Ezell (Doug), Stefanie Wiggins (Clayton); granddaughters, Lexie Ezell-Inman (Trey), Gabbie Ezell-Adkins (Jesse), and Jamie Benson-Ezell (Lena), and great granddaughter Eleanor “Nell” Adkins. She also leaves behind several loving daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren through marriage, as well as cousins, nephews, and cherished friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Rhodes and Georgia Dodson, stepfather William Dodson, and her loving brother, Maurice (Ruth).
Visitation will be held at Memphis Funeral Home, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, Tennessee, on August 20, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with a social gathering to follow at the same location. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northeast Mississippi Chapter of the American Red Cross or Best Friends Animal Society of Utah, in Nancy’s memory.
