Norma Jean Graham, 85 of Collierville, TN wife to Marion (Mike) E. Graham died Tuesday July 17, 2018 at Methodist Germantown Hospital. She was born in Denver, Colorado on June 19,1933 to Myrtle Stacer who proceeded her in death.
Norma touched the lives of so many people over the course of her life. She lived a life of service. She devoted every moment to giving her time, her love and her all to those around her. Her ‘jobs’ were her passion in life. She started her career of service working at Cripple Children’s Hospital and then continued it at Baptist Hospital where she oversaw several of individual clinics which included amputee, scoliosis, mylo, neurology and muscular dystrophy to name a few. Then in 1995 she went to work for the Muscular Dystrophy Association as their Patient Service Coordinator. She spent several years with MDA and her time with her “kids” has left not only an impact, but a legacy. She taught the kids, the families, and every single counselor that came into contact with her the true meaning of life. That it is how we treat each other, and how we spend our minutes that count in this life. The world without her will be a smaller place as there will never be another person that can fill this world with love and kindness like Ms. Norma.
Norma met the love of her life, Mike (Poppy) at Enterprise High in Kansas in 1949 and they were married in Walls, MS in front of the Levee Monument on June 30,1951 . Besides Poppy she is survived by her daughter, Patricia Graham Fricke of Tavernier, Florida and son, Michael Graham (Ivy) of Collierville, TN. She is also survived by her grandsons, Darrell Graham (Jodi) and Zach Fricke (Nikki); granddaughters, Heather Chambers (Jarret) and Hannah Fricke; great-granddaughters, Rachel Acree (Sean) and Ivy Paige Chambers; great-grandsons Justin Chambers and Noah Graham and great-great grandson Asher Acree whom she had the pleasure of meeting and loving on in June.
