Norman R. Martin, 91, passed away October 26, 2013 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford, MS. Mr. Martin was a World War II Veteran, serving in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Olga Gray whom he married on April 4, 1943. To this union was born: one daughter, Judy; and one son, Gary. He was also preceded in death by his father, Robert Russell Martin, his mother Lucy Fultz Martin, two brothers: Ted Clark and Ralph Martin and one sister, Marie. Mr. Martin is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mary Katheryn Murphy, his daughter, Judy and his son Gary. He also leaves his four step-daughters: LaNeita, Betty, Teresa, and Judy as well as his step-son, Harold. Mr. Martin is also surived by his 9 granddaughters, 9 grandsons, 16 great-granddaughters, and 15 great-grandsons. The family will recieve friends from 1pm -3pm on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 with a Graveside service to follow at 3pm all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road.
