OBITUARY
Opal Louise Hobbs
January 31, 1930 – January 8, 2021
Opal L. Gregory Hobbs was born to the late Rosie and Ed Gregory on January 31, 1930 in Pontotoc, Mississippi. She departed this world to be with her Lord on January 8, 2021. Preceding her in death were her parents, all of her siblings, her husband, Buddy Hobbs, and her son, Robert Charles Hobbs.
She retired from Hunt Wesson Foods with over 30 years of service. She greatly enjoyed making quilts, handcrafts, and working in her yard planting the Lord’s flowers in her garden. She desperately loved her friends and family and had a servant’s heart, always taking action to show how she cared for those she loved so deeply. She will never be forgotten, and her memory will live on through her family she spent a lifetime loving.
Her memory will be cherished by loved ones who she waits upon: daughter Diane Hobbs Webb, five grandchildren; Stephanie Dillon (Tim), Charles Edward Hobbs (Tressa), Carla Agnos (Eric), Rose Austin (Lenny), Nora Coleman (Weldon) and her eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 13, 2021 at 10 a.m., at Memphis Funeral Homes and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Road, Bartlett. The family will receive friends beginning at 9. Interment will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens.

My dear Mama words can't express how much my heart hurts knowing that you are gone. I wasn't ready for you to go. I am thankful for all of the beautiful times that we shared. Go rest in the arms of Jesus walking on those golden streets with Jes uhh s and all of those we sorely missed. I know that I will see you again
