Pam Mosley was born in Shreveport, LA. She was the youngest child of John Henry Palmer and Geraldine King Palmer. She spent most of her life in Memphis, TN with her three siblings. One of her favorite childhood stories was if she didn’t like the dinner being served, her Daddy would drive to McDonalds and pick up her favorite meal.
Pam graduated from Kingsbury High School. She married soon after high school and had two sons. She began working as a legal secretary, remaining with the same attorneys for many decades. They all knew she was the Boss!
Pam married her husband Jim in 1980, and together they had two additional children. She lovingly referred to her family as the “M&M’s.”
Pam enjoyed camping with her family and cheering on her sons as they played sports. She didn’t miss a vocal or theater performance by her daughter and was a supportive parent behind the scenes.
She was an Olympic-level quilter making personalized quilts for many of her family and friends. Pam sewed her love into each stitch. Her quilts are gifts that will be treasured by all and passed down for generations. She shared her love of sewing with her daughter Adrian, and together they made many crafts and outfits. At home, she never sat still and was always “piddling” or enjoying her hobbies.
Pam loved riding on the back of a motorcycle with her arms around her husband. They enjoyed riding with their motorcycle club, traveling, and raising money for many charities. If she was not on the back of a motorcycle with her husband, she cherished holding him close as they danced the night away.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed everything from cheesy love stories to clandestine legal thrillers. Pam loved watching movies with her husband and became a passionate fan of professional tennis.
Pam fiercely loved her kids and grandkids, including her granddogs, and she was fiercely loved back. Pam adored holding her grandsons and was known for asking strangers if she could hold their infants. Her key phrase was “I could just eat you up!”
After retiring and moving to the Tennessee River, she regularly traveled wherever she was needed, so she could help with her grandsons and granddogs. Pam treasured cheering on her grandsons at their sporting events and choir performances.
Pam was known for talking one’s ear off about anything and everything. That simply stemmed from her larger than life personality, her vibrance, joy, and excitement about even the small things. She would sing her heart out to Barbra Streisand or Celine Dion on any given day. As a cunning card player, claiming she never won, she was lovingly known as the “Black Widow.” Pam was the flip-flop queen and would be ecstatic about anything that sparkled, but that simply fit her personality. She was a diamond - sparkly, bright and priceless. Although she is no longer with us, her sparkle will live on through her children and grandchildren, shining brightly for generations to come.
Pam is survived by her loving husband Jim of 46 years, her three sons: Brent (Laura) Melton, Chad (Heather) Melton, Jimmy (Denise) Mosley and her daughter Adrian (Troy) Greenway. Her memory will be cherished by her seven grandsons: Braedon (Ashton) Melton, Bryce (Candace) Melton, Brody Melton, Max Mosley, Myles Mosley, Micah Mosley, Mason Mosley and 8 granddogs, as well as, her sister Paula Allen and her brother, Greg (Jan) Palmer, as well as many nieces and nephews. Pam was big on family and accepted all as her own including Katie Mohre and Becca Milner. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Geraldine Palmer, her brother, Doug Palmer and her nephew, W. D. Palmer.
