Pamela Lorraine (Francis) Smithart, lovingly known as Mimi, was born on August 16, 1956 in Memphis, TN. As a proud resident growing up in Rockin’ Raleigh, she graduated from Raleigh Egypt High School Class of1974, and would often brag of her upbringing to her grandchildren.
She was the glue that held her family together hosting Christmas, Easter and every holiday in between. A bright light to everyone she met and the life of the party. Her home was always open for friends to gather, lending an ear, pouring a cup of coffee or sharing a story that would have you in stitches. Keeping up with her loved one’s lives, she was ever faithful praying over them and looking after them. Her heart of gold shined through where her wittiness and spunk endeared to all who knew her.
Pam was a devoted mother to Stacey and Brian - her pride and joy. She was a constant by their sides. The only thing that brought her more joy was her five grandchildren. She took great delight in being the fun Mimi, enjoying Sunday lunch dates to Panda Express, Barnes & Noble and cheering loudly from the sidelines.
Greeting her at heaven’s gates are her parents, George and Jeanette Francis. She is survived by her sister Kathy (Scott) Holmes, brother Tim (Debby) Francis, her daughter Stacey (Jeff) LaRusso, son Brian Smithart and daughter in law, Meagen Smithart. Grandchildren Parker McLain, Mason Smithart, Presley LaRusso, Ellie Smithart and Hadley Smithart (Lauren Crawford). Nephews Brandon Holmes and Bryce Francis, and niece Breanne Luna, along with two great nephews Brody and Elias Luna.
Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, August 12th at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. Visitation will be held at 1:00PM followed by a service at 2:00PM.
