I was privileged to go with Patti on a Thanksgiving Day morning to open Big Lots at 7 am. They had half price toys and we filled several carts. Patti was instrumental in starting the Silent Auction we had every year benefiting Toys for Tots. In 2023, our Fairway Villas Silent Auction and Bake Sale raised enough to donate over $12,000 worth of toys! That pleased Patti so much. She just could not comprehend a child at Christmas not getting a toy!
We also spent hours making sandwiches for the emigrants who were staying at area hotels. And she helped cook and serve hot meals too. She took gloves and boots and coats for the children there. She wanted no one to go hungry and most of the children had lived in warm climates , so they needed cold weather gear. 
She loved music and had a transistor radio at age 4. We had her over to our home several times to watch music videos and she knew the words to all the songs. 
Patti was an angel on earth and was always bringing dinner or flowers to anyone who was sick. She also loved the Lord and her family and her dog, Reesey.

Patti was a special friend.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and everyone that I knew loved her.  She was a woman who loved the Lord and her family and friends.  She had a wonderful heart and spirit.  All of us who knew her well will have many fond memories of her.   Our loss is Heaven's gain.  She will be keeping those in heaven smiling & laughing.

Patti was an incredible, loving friend who will be missed dearly by all who knew her.  My life is richer for having her as a friend and confidante.  In this video clip taken just six weeks ago, she signed one of her favorite Elvis songs:  if I Can Dream. 

There must be lights burning brighter somewhere

Where all my brothers walk hand in hand

Patti was such a light to us, such an encourager, such a beautiful friend.  She will be missed in this world but we are rejoicing to know she is in her eternal home, playing the best set of drums ever and praising her Savior.  She and Phil gave us our church bridal shower, she showed up for the births of our children (with pink drum sticks for Savannah) and was always one of Greg’s biggest fans and encouragement.  She loved her kids and grandkids (biological or not) and was just a source of pure joy.  We are all better because we knew and loved her.  Prayers of comfort and peace for the family.
