Paul Appling was a super kind hearted person who always did his best to be a friend.I met Paul in Theory class at Memphis State as it was back then.I went to see him play at the Thirsty Elephant in Harrison Creek band and he did'nt miss a lick.
We remained friends for 40 yrs.He was a family man and Musicians musician who was always happy to be here on this earth and is now in Heaven where it's ok to play on 10 through a 100 watt Marshall.
God Bless Paul Appling,he is missed by many.

My heart goes out to his family and all whose life he touched. I knew him when he was a high school boy..funny and charming and so very kind. What a blessed family you are to have had such an amazing husband, father, brother, you will all be in my prayers.

My homeroom all through high school sounded liked "Appling - here - Armstrong - here" and we were often seated behind each other in classes for that reason as well. He was quiet and kind and I always appreciated his friendship and knowing I would know someone who would smile and say hello. Blessings and prayers for peace to his family from Marian Armstrong way back when.....
