Paul "Sonny" Eugene Bridger Jr., age 85, of Iuka, Mississippi, passed away on June 17, 2026. He was born on January 11, 1941 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Paul and Letha Bridger, who preceded him in death. Paul was a man whose quiet strength and steady presence left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.
Paul is survived by his wife Julia Fay, his son Barry (Kellie) Bridger, and grandsons Owen and Adam. He is also survived by his sister Connie (Robert) Heflin, his brother Robert (Yolanda) Bridger, and sister-in-law June Alder. Uncle Sonny will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews, family members, and friends.
A man who found joy in nature's beauty, Paul had a lifelong passion for the outdoors. He loved fishing on quiet waters at Pickwick, hunting in the woods, and taking trips with his family. If the he wasn't on the lake, you could find him rooting on the Memphis Tigers, St Louis Cardinals, and Dallas Cowboys.
A visitation will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens 3700 N Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN 38133 Wednesday, June 24 at 1:00pm with service to follow at 2:00PM.
