Peggy R. McKee

Horn Lake - PEGGY ROGERS McKEE was promoted into the presence of her Lord and Savior after a long and courageous struggle on March 10, 2012. Mrs. McKee was the widow of the late James Edward McKee, Jr. and the mother of three sons and their wives, Stan and Betsy, Ricky and Cindy, and Mark and Stacy McKee. She also leaves three siblings, Yvonne Bain of Blue Springs, MS, Libby Autry of Ashland, MS, and Hal Rogers of Newburgh, IN; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by another sister, Mrs. Virginia Grisham of Ripley, MS. Born in Ashland, MS in 1934, Mrs. McKee was a graduate of Ashland High School, National Business College, and a retired secretary for Deloitte & Touche. She resided in Horn Lake, MS and was a member of East Side Baptist Church in Memphis and a former member of Goodman Road Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 12, from 5-8 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home And Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Road. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens.
