Peggy Joy Potts, 80, of Lakeland, TN, passed away at her home on Friday, July 9, 2010. She was a retired Registered Nurse, U.S. Navy veteran and enjoyed bowling, writing poetry, fishing and taking care of others. Miss Potts is survived by her sister, Lois Potts Parker of Lakeland; nephews, Charles M. Currier of Arlington, TN and Danny Clay of Hornsby, TN; nieces, Teresa Pickett of Bartlett, Kathy Smith of Munford, Diane King of Hornsby, Kay Creager of Millington, Debbie Pinkney of Burton, SC and Linda Karr of Beaufort, SC. The family will receive friends this afternoon, Sunday, July 11 from 2-5 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday July 12 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
