Born in Auburndale, Florida on October 2nd, 1933, Phil graduated from Trinity College in Florida and then John Brown University in Arkansas.
He loved the Lord and shared that love with everyone he met. Phil pastored churches in Oklahoma and Kentucky before moving to Memphis where he became Associate Pastor at Central Church for 22 years.
A devoted family man, Phil is survived by his wife of 70 years, Freda, and children, David (Nikki), Carole (Steve), Melody (Rusty), Joy (Mike), Merry (Robert), Jonathan (Missy), and Benjamin (Pam), along with 26 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations in Phil's honor be made to Central Church.
