Raymond E. “Bud” Braden, 89, of Memphis and formerly of Somerville, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Braden, siblings, Julian Braden, Neil Braden, James Braden, Bill Braden, and Faye Braden, and parents Julius Eck and Ruby Braden. Mr. Braden is survived by his children Paulette Caldwell and Allen Braden, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Braden proudly served in the US Army in WWII and received the Purple Heart. He worked and retired from the Commercial Appeal. The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, July 5th from 11-1pm with the funeral starting at 1pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd.
