Raymond R. Parker, 86, of Bartlett, passed away on September 12, 2012. He was preceded in death by, his parents, Charles Grover Parker and Grace Burner Parker, and 8 siblings. He is survived by, his loving wife of 65 years, Faye Puckett Parker, son, Stephen R. Parker (Cheryl), grandchildren, John B. Parker (Brandy), Jeffrey T. Parker (Deborah), great-grandchildren, Gavin B. Parker, Aniston S. Parker, and four siblings, Marjorie Bolden of Lawrenceville, IL., Lorena Michael of Robinson, IL., Bill Parker of Detroit, MI., and Donna Oppenheimer of Cincinnati, OH. Mr. Parker was a member at Ellendale Baptist Church, an avid fisherman, served proudly in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict, retired from the USPS after 32 years of dedicated service, and Memphis Scottish Rite and Berclair Lodge member. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ellendale Baptist Church Choir. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 15 from 5-7pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. and a funeral will be on Sunday, at 2pm.
