

Raymond Lyle Reynolds, 86, passed away peacefully at his home in Coldwater, MS, on February 17, 2025. Born on November 17, 1938, Raymond was the son of Raymond Lyle Reynolds Sr. and Sarah Prue Reynolds, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Mary Ellen Reynolds Artichoker, Donald Reynolds, David Reynolds, Floyd Reynolds, Joseph Reynolds, Janel Sully, and Peter Reynolds, as well as his son, Raymond Lyle Reynolds III.
Raymond shared 64 years of love and companionship with his beloved wife, Ruby, who passed away on January 4, 2025. Together, they raised a large family that grew and thrived over the years. A proud family man, Raymond’s greatest joy was spending time with those he loved. He and Ruby enjoyed bowling together and made many cherished memories with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Raymond had a deep love for the outdoors, finding peace and enjoyment through hunting and fishing. He was also an avid sports fan, particularly fond of watching football and March Madness basketball. Loved the Denver Broncos as well. His sense of humor, warmth, and kind heart made him beloved by all who knew him.
A devoted veteran, Raymond retired after 20 years of dedicated service in the United States Navy. He also attended Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Hernando, MS, whenever he was able. His faith and dedication to his country and family were constants throughout his life.
Raymond leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories. He is survived by his four daughters: Sherry Oden, Sheila Massey, Nancy Allen, and Mary West; eight grandchildren: Teresa Massey, Lisa Mahs, Erica Swindoll, Glenn Massey, James Allen, Blake Allen, Dale West, and Jared West; and twelve great-grandchildren: Gwendolyn Massey, Anastasia Carbone, Zack Massey, Thomas Swindoll, Emma Allen, Mason Allen, Brailyn Allen, Jessie West, Abigail West, Lyanna West, Joshua West, and Lily West.
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by his family and friends. His legacy of love, humor, and devotion will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
