

Mrs. Richadean Greer Wilson, 95 of Memphis, died on March 6, 2016, at Brookdale assisted living in Germantown, TN. “Richie” was born in Floyd, AR, on June 22, 1920 to Susie and Alfred Greer. When she was nine years old, her father purchased a farm just west of Searcy, Arkansas, so that she and her siblings could finish through high school. In 1939 she moved to Memphis where she lived with her brother Alton and his wife Gereda. In 1941 she got a job in the stenographer pool at Sears and worked her way up to be executive secretary for the Personnel Manager, Aubrey Wilson. Upon her retirement in 1966, she married Aubrey and they purchased a home in the Hein Park area of Memphis. They spent most days on their farm in Arlington, TN, where they enjoyed raising vegetables and a little livestock. The farm was Richie’s constant joy until her husband’s death in 1987. After that, she made numerous trips to visit family in Searcy, and spent time with many friends in Memphis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Velma and Aline, and her brothers Murray, Alton, and Hiram. She is survived by her nephew John Greer of Rancho Mirage, California, and nieces Charlotte Wilson Carraway of Arlington, TN, and Mary Dell Wilson Robertson of Jacksonville, FL.
The family will receive friends from 9am, until service time at 10am, on Friday, March 11, 2016, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN 38133, with internment to follow In Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, TN.
