

He was born on April 19, 1946 in Sparta, Tennessee. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon of 58 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert L. and Jessie White Haston and his brother, Jerry Haston of McMinnville, Tennessee. He is survived by his sisters Joanna Jones of Tullahoma, Tennessee and Nancy Meyers of Charlotte, North Carolina.
He attended East Sparta Elementary and White County High School where he was a member of the Student Council, President of the Beta Club, a member of the Letter Club, and a member of the basketball team as Co-Captain and Honorable Mention All Mid-State.
He attended Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tennessee and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Accounting.
He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army through ROTC as a Distinguished Military Student Graduate.
He passed his CPA Exam on the first sitting while employed at Ernst & Young.
After 2 years on active duty and a 4-year reserve commission he resigned his commission with the rank of Captain.
Upon returning to Memphis, he rejoined E&Y and spent 13 years with financial services and public reporting companies. He resigned from the firm as Senior Manager.
He worked in the Investment Banking Industry for 13 years, serving such companies as Union Planters IBG, Paine Webber, Calibre Financial Group, and Legacy Investment Group.
In 1996 he received an offer from NBC of Mississippi, currently Cadence Bank, and served as EVP and Chief Financial Officer until his retirement in 2011.In 2013 he returned to Memphis where he spent many happy days playing golf with his buddies at Windyke Country Club.
He was a faithful member of Germantown Church of Christ.
He and his wife Sharon enjoyed International Travel and made many wonderful trips with beautiful memories.
